Yeguada Pomés has been breeding horses for the following disciplines since 1990: Show Jumping and Eventing.
It bases its project on a selection of breeding stock, both stallions and mares, that meet the following premises: predisposition for sport, good character, correct morphology, and always with a percentage of Anglo-Arabian or English thoroughbred blood of over 60%.
As part of our experience in the search for the “perfect” quality/facility combination, we discovered the Anglo-Arabian stallion “Matcho”, who was exported from France to Germany at the age of four, after a brief stint on the racetracks. Once in Germany, Matcho passed the stallion test with the best mark of his group, being especially remarkable, apart from his good movements, his character. This stallion has been used in Germany especially to obtain very good dressage lines. In 2009 we incorporated five daughters of Matcho to our stud: Maira, Maxi T, Mia, Mascha and Marlin 13 to turn them into mother mares and current base of Yeguada Pomés.
Combining ease of handling, sporting quality and beauty in one individual were our objectives, and today we can say that these are the characteristics that define the majority of our products.
